Do Old Wives Tales Work or Not!?… This has been the question i have been asking and stressing myself out over for so many months now. I have been on forms, YouTube and even googled some questions, so many times. I know some of you are thinking, “Why don’t you know the gender by now?” And the answer to that is, i kind of do and i kind of don’t. So at 23 weeks (last week because I’m 24 weeks now) i went for my Anatomy Scan and when it was time for her to show and tell me the gender, her guess wasn’t for sure and i need to get a second guess to make it as accurate as possible.
Anyways lets go through some Old Wives Tales and see what they say…

  1.  Heart-Rate- If the baby’s heart-rate is less than 140 beats per minute it’s a boy. If it is more than 140 beats per minute it’s a girl!    Answer: GIRL
  2. Chinese Gender Predictor-    Answer: BOY

  3. Baby Names- If it is easier to get a boy’s name it’s a girl. If it’s easier to get a girl’s name that it’s a boy.   Answer: GIRL

  4. Acne- If you have had acne in this pregnancy it’s a girl. If you have not had acne it’s a boy.   Answer: BOY

  5. Side You Rest On- If you rest on your right side it’s a girl. If you rest on your left side it’s a boy.   Answer: GIRL

  6. Dad’s Weight Gain- If the dad gains weight you are having a girl. If he stays the same boy.   Answer: GIRL

  7. Morning Sickness- If you had a smooth pregnancy with no morning sickness, it’s a boy. If you were sick or felt really nauseous during your pregnancy, count on a girl.   Answer: BOY
  8. Urine- What color is your pee? If it is bright yellow, you will have a little boy. If your urine is a dull yellow, plan on a girl.   Answer: BOY

  9. Feet- Are your feet colder now that you are pregnant? If so, you just might be having a boy. If your feet have stayed the same before pregnancy and during, you’re having a little girl.   Answer: BOY

  10. Dream of Sex of Baby- If you have dreams that you are having a boy, you will have a girl. If you dream about having a girl, it will be a boy. Dreams show the opposite of what you are having.   Answer: GIRL

  11. (BONUS) What Do You Think? 71% of the time, the mom-to-be knows what she is having.   Answer: BOY
