Hey fellow Shy Children!
Today I wanted to share with you my thoughts on the new Head & Shoulders Moisture Care line for Textured hair.
I got the opportunity to test these three products out from bzzagent.com. They didn’t say I needed to do a review but since I mentioned these products In a recent favorites video on my YouTube channel and said I was going to tell you my thoughts, that is what I am going to do.
So this review is going to include these things for each product: Packaging, Product Review with Pros &
Cons and My Final thoughts on everything… So lets get started!
Head & Shoulders Moisture Care Co-Wash
Packaging: The packing is what every bottle that doesn’t have a pump should be. I get to set the product down on either end and in the shower this is a great function. The righting on the packaging is easy to read and is in big bold font, so you will not get confused or mess up.
Product Review: I love this product as a co-wash and fill like it would make a great regular hair washing product since the 2in1 really didn’t do its justice. When you apple this co-wash you will notice the nice moisture feeling right from the beginning. This product didn’t feel like it was stripping my hair but my hair did feel clean afterwards. I would is this product once a week In between my regular hair washing routine. It’s a great product to have if you don’t like to wash your hair everyday but feel like you need to because of hot days or sweaty workouts. It does have a really light coconut smell with some other smell to it that I just can’t put my finger on. If you don’t like coconut scented things this product wouldn’t be a problem for you and you should actually enjoy it. Last but not least remember that this is a Head & Shoulders product so dandruff helping is always in the mixture.
Pros- moisturizing, didn’t strip hair, clean feeling, bottle can stand on both sides
Cons- none
Head & Shoulders Moisture Care 2in1 dandruff shampoo + conditioner
Packaging: same as the co-wash
Product Review: I have a hate love relationship with this product. When you apply it to your hair and work it in you will right off the bat notice the moisture but when you feel like everything is going great that shampoo sulfate stripped hair feeling comes along… You know that feeling that makes your hair feel waxy and weird!? Yes, that feeling. It only last like that during the applying process and the wash out but once you are done and you dry your hair or even let it air dry, it feels super moisturizing. I do have to let you all know that I don’t suffer from dandruff but I do have a hard time keeping my textured hair and scalp moisturized. I did notice with this product that my hair was getting flakes 3 days in after washing it and I have never gone through that before. Even in the process of testing these products out I did skip a week and use my other shampoo and conditioners to see if it was really this 2in1 product and it was every time. This product does have a slightly stronger smell than the co-wash so if you are sensitive to smell you might get annoyed but it does smell good and not like a dandruff chemical shampoos.
Pros- great smell, moisturized well
Cons-makes flakes, gives hair stripped feeling in shower
Head & Shoulders Moisture Care Scalp Soother
Packaging: the packaging is very simple of this product but everything is laid out Nicely and easy to read. The product does come with a cap thing so it’s easy to store in a bag or desk without spilling over or making a mess. The size of the product is also great in that matter too.
Product Review: I is this product any time I have an annoying scalp itch that won’t go away and it works wonders. I think this would be a great product for my lady’s and gents that wear a sew in weave because it didn’t relive the itch and it also has a tip on it that make it easy to get to the exact spot. I do have to let you all know that this product can get very addictive… Lol! I will is it on one spot and it will cool it down and make it feel extremely nice but then right after I would have another itch and another all in different places. But I still love the product. It does have a peppermint smell because peppermint oil is used into the smooth the scalp.
Pros: helps itchy scalp and makes my scalp feel moisturized
Cons: can get really addictive
My Final Thoughts: This is a great line and a great concept especially being targeted to people with Textured Hair. But like a lot of products things can be tweaked here and there and that is especially for the 2in1 Shampoo and conditioner. I can not tell you all you need to purchases or even test that product out… So I can’t recommend it. But on the other hand the really do love the Co-Wash and the Scalp Smoother and feel like they would be great products for you to give it a try and add it to your routine.
