Wearing a long sleeve in spring is something that I haven’t been able to do in a long time. Its very interesting how living in the same state and less than two hours away can really change climate weather. Let alone California has been having very strange weather altogether.
If you’re new to FashionShyChild, (get to know more about me Here) I used to live in San Joaquin County. It’s less than two hours away from San Francisco (where I live now) and is valley life. Super hot during the Spring, Summer, and Fall months and cold for Winter. Owning a long sleeve and wearing it in the springtime would be completely out of the question due to the warm weather.
That said, now that I am back in the San Francisco bay area. I get to enjoy fashion again, along with long sleeve clothing pieces.
Lets go over how i styled this long sleeve Fashion Nova top in the spring time…
Top: FashionNova | Jeans: FashionNova | Shoes: FashionNova | Sunglasses: Gucci | Earrings: Walmart | Necklace: Shopynys.com | Braclet: Mantraband
The long sleeve top, ripped jeans and Yeezy Boost 350 inspired sneakers are all from Fashion Nova. I have been loving shopping at fashionnova.com for a while now. They have great inclusiveness when it comes to there size selections.
The long sleeve top is very versatile for weather conditions I feel. I’m, not a huge fan of having sleeves touching my wrist. Yes, I know that sounds weird! But they have to be either overly long or able to be rolled up like how I have them in the photos. This way if it does decide to get a little warm during the day I can roll them up to feel comfortable or have them long if I’m feeling a little cold. Let’s face it, it’s springtime and the weather is a mess.
In jeans, I need something that’s of course in my plus size but also long enough so it doesn’t look like I’m flooding and has a smaller waist section so I don’t have that extra fabric in the zipper part and around. Fashion Nova has been the only jeans to work for me right now that can give me all my needs and wants in one place.
We went over in one of my last post about fashion nova sneakers. There isn’t really much to say besides dont sleep on there sneaker selection. They are comfortable and they have a big selcetion of styles. The onles im wearing are defiantly inspired by the Yeezy Boost 350 and they were affordable.
What wasn’t affordable were these Gucci Sunglasses (I do have prescription lenses in mine). I was able to afford these by using my savings and budgeting method (blog post coming soon) because debt is not the answer and we will not do that. But these were an investment piece due to me wearing glasses 24/7 and I need to protect my eyes when the sun does come out.
