I was thinking one day, about a post I could do. Then all of a sudden I realized a makeup starter kit guide was the best idea. So I went through all of my makeup and picked out the best things beginners should have. Ta-Dah, here they are!
Remember: Starting out You don’t need a lot of products and You also don’t need to spend a lot of money on one products. This is your time to test out products and see what works for you and what doesn’t. The drugstore is the best place to do all of that. Even though I’m not a beginner when it comes to makeup, I still love shopping at the drug store for it. TIP: some products I believe you should only buy at the drug store. Because I don’t see why people would spend so much money on them when the drug store products work the same way…I will explain this more down below.
Products I Think You Should Start Out With:
concealer: The FITme! Concealer is the best one I ever used. I even still use it everyday. I feel like it gives me a heavy conceal without feeling heavy. That’s why I don’t wear foundation 🙂 and you won’t need to, too. It will be easy to find what shade you are because they have a chart right next to the product.
Eyelid Primer: E.l.f. Or eyes.lips.face. Has a great working eyelid primer. Guess What…it’s only $1USD YAYYY. This eyelid primer will help your eye shadows stay on all day. I suggest everyone should give it a try, you can find it at Target.
Pressed Powder: I stand strongly behind the FITme! Line (not the blushes though). This product will match to your skin, even if your off a little bit. It does not do that set on your face look all powdery thing, it sets great. Bonus- it comes with a big square mirror. TIP: I suggest using a face brush when applying this.
Eye Shadow: Don’t start out with single eye shadows. This is what you do…buy a pallet, I suggest the Coastal Scents 88 color eyeshadow pallet because you get sooo many colors to play with. After using a pallet with a lot of colors you will figure out what colors and color combinations look good on you. Then you can venture out with single colors.
Eye Liner: product I don’t see anyone spending a lot of money on. Jordana (you can find at Walgreens) has a great retractable pencil. RETRACTABLE is what I suggest you get. Because pencil sharpeners is a thing of the PAST! And all they do is run your pencil down fast.
mascara: product I don’t see anyone spending a lot of money on. Out of all the mascaras I have tried I always find myself going back to CoverGirls Lash Blast. It’s something about it, it just works.
Blush: Wet n Wild has a great blush called Pearlescent Pink 831E. It’s the only one from the line I have tried. I have referred this one to my sister (who is a beginner in makeup) and she likes it too.
Lips: I don’t think beginners should start out with lipstick. Take one step at a time, tinted lip glosses is the way to go. Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush has some great smelling Lip Glosses I lip the scent Cherry Bomb. They also have a great one called Big Smooch in Pink Gloss. It’s a lip gloss on one side and a plumping gloss on another.
Tools: e.l.f. or eyes.lips.face. Eyelash curler is by far the best. The price is amazing and it just works. A tool I don’t see anyone spending a lot of money on.
